Robust systems create a great deal of data that can be used to provide helpful information that leads to continuous improvement of business processes. VHA-IMCSS reporting tools can be used to extract data into a format that can be easily imported into a variety of third party reporting tools to provide meaningful report information.
Episode Analysis
Episode Analysis (EA) is a powerful end-user window into the database. EA allows the user to search the database on virtually any useful criteria and quickly produce a flat text file in CSV (comma separated value) format that is easily imported to Microsoft ® Excel or Crystal Reports for analysis and reporting. EA does not require the user to know SQL or to know the underlying database table structure.

Electronic Patient Satisfaction Tool
The Please Help Us (PHU) survey is a user definable patient satisfaction survey. These surveys are administered to all patients during their stay. The survey allows them to give positive or negative feedback on clinical, administrative, counseling, housekeeping maintenance issues for each facility. The resulting data informs management/leadership of the overall perception of patient care, the competence of staff, respect shown, and admission process just to name a few. You may completely customize all PHU survey content to meet your specific needs.
Bed Occupancy Trend Report
The Bed Occupancy Trend Report will query the database and produce data for import to Microsoft ® Excel that will effectively monitor:
- Weekly patient days compared to last week as well as last year
- Weekly admissions and average length of stay compared to last year and budget requirements
- Weekly IOP Reports
